Our Favorite Fridge Cleanout Chili - Recipe

When you need something warm, easy, and simple - this recipe is a family favorite at Hallstedt Homestead. Cherry Vinegar adds a subtle brightness to this classic chili recipe without overpowering the other flavors.

Pro Tip: this is a great "fridge cleanout" recipe - chop up any leftover veggie stragglers at the end of the week and throw them in for a little extra texture. This works well with potatoes, carrots, celery, or both hard and soft squashes. Think about that lonely zucchini that's been eyeing you from the back of the fridge...

Simple, hearty, and great for cold winter week nights, this family favorite chili goes from fridge/pantry to table in 30 minutes. The addition of Cherry Vinegar at the end brightens the end flavor without letting the vinegar overpower the other flavors.

This is an excellent "fridge cleanout" recipe, which means we like to chop up any leftover veggies like potatoes, carrots, celery, or both hard and soft squashes to add texture.
